I remember the local station in Memphis reran shows of Jungle Jim, starring Johnny Weissmuller.
The also ran the old Tarzan movies, also starring Johnny Weissmuller.

(16,949 posts)Along with the usual cartoons in the a.m. I remember the Tarzan movies being on during the afternoon. The Johnny Weissmuller movies were pre-code and, in retrospect, pretty damn hot!

(5,879 posts)I was very limited to 1 hr or afternoon tv and two shows a week of evening tv. Saturday Mornimg and sick days were my only unlimited. I was allowed to watch sports on the weekends.
Sat mornings were Hanna Barbera cartoons mostly.
My favorite was the The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour or whatever the Warner Brother's show was called at the time. It changed a few times.
