Had a friend bring me back some top shelf whiskey from Ireland

Saving it for Donnie Dipshit's dirt-nap day.

Remember, with good whiskey that comes with a cork, store it tipped, or make sure you tip it occasionally to prevent the cork from drying out.

Hopefully, I won't have to wait long.

While I don't have any single malt Scotch or champagne or anything premium, I have had a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue and a Black label that have remained unopened since receiving them both as a gift in the Blue Label introductory year, 1992. I like Scotch, but just rarely drink spirits-- but these two are certainly better than anything else in my liquor collection, which mostly includes that which was left over from prior parties some time ago.

I can imagine one of my committed DEM friends who will share my feelings about that event coming over to at least crack them for the first time. We might even include some Never-Trumpers who've seen the light.

I'm guessing your Irish whiskey will be amazing. I assume it is already well-aged, but may it not sit there unopened too much longer...

My brothers and cousins drink Jameson.
Maybe there is something more top shelf than that.

I don't drink so I have no idea.

...but I've never turned down a sip of first-rate Irish. May our congratulatory imbibing commence in the not-to-distant future!

And thanks for the dry cork warning, as well.
