We've had a few sales on this block I've lived on for 40 years. I am officially the old-timer on the block and I'm not really getting to know my new neighbors because I just don't get out much anymore. Thought I might get to know my immediate neighbors a bit more this summer with weed pulling and all that but it hasn't happened. South neighbors use landscapers and north neighbors seem to be letting their front yard dry up...it was lovely bunch of native grasses and flowers...
Anyway, the new neighbor two doors south has had their house blurred on Google. I tried googling the names, but that didn't help me any. Just feels like they're hiding something.

(1,415 posts)Why not? And why does it give you pause? Freedom to request a blur seems reasonable by me.

(663 posts)I would consider it, but we live in the Pacific NW and tree cover effectively hides the house. I guess I am from a different era and value privacy.

(27,311 posts)I happened to be out in the driveway cleaning the interior of our car. I was bent over leaning inside with my butt stuck out.
When my wife looked up our place on Google "Street View" a year or so later, she got a real kick out of seeing my posterior prominently displayed (in shorts, of course) in our driveway.
It became something she made a point of others from time to time.
That image is probably still out there somewhere. Good luck finding it, if you're interested.

(23,082 posts)I have a few other questions:
Is there a time during the day when no one is home?
Do you have any dogs? How big are they? Are they friendly to strangers? What kind of food will distract them?
Do you have a safe? Where is it located?
Thank you.
