So I know the feeling you get when it finally rains after months and months without a single drop. This is actually a little early for the first rain there, isn't it? Sometimes it doesn't happen until October (or even later in SoCal).

We needed every drop. And it included noisemakers! Little bits of thunder!

in Santa Cruz, but summer isn't over until the final out of the World Series, at which time it becomes winter. When pitchers and catchers report to spring training, it's spring again for about a month and a half. Summer begins on Opening Day.
