Are there items or gadgets that you bought, never use, but won't throw out or give to someone? I had to have one of

the copper pans that I saw on a commercial. Never used it. How about you?

I expected to use it all the time, but it's been collecting dust for several years.

…including a bunch I knew hubby would like. The benefit was that I got used to using an e-reader — then when I got an iPad that was that.

I can download books from the Public Library, and I am a big fan of Gutenberg.org free books. When I want to buy real printed-on-paper books, I frequently do so from Amazon, but I was always mistrustful of the reality of e-books, and was proven right recently when the God of All Macs snuck into my e-library function one night and emptied nearly all of it to “recover unused space. “

The good news is that my very oldest iPad is now incapable of being upgraded any more, with or without my permission (according to hubby, my in-house tech support) so all my oldest and most favorite e-books are safe.

As for the Kindle, it has gotten a whole new life, as hubby has discovered free sources for chess games, math games, and other esoterica.

A large casserole dish size space on the counter. Lots easier using that silver thingy that's been around since dirt was clean.
