There are never enough pettings, or snacks. That's why you get the infamous, "Pyr Paw."

Our local pharmacy here loves you to bring your dog in--they even have it on their sign. We usually go through the drivethru, and they send a treat out with my prescriptions.

I love these dogs. My mentor purchased a Great Pyrenees and found that Great Pyrs are not good dogs for in town. We were competing in herding at the time and we help rescue the Great Pyr and got her to the lady who was training our dogs. The lady training our bearded collies for herding had a ton of sheep and the Great Pyr was very happy to protect these sheep. The Great Pyr watched our and other dogs herd and move the sheep in training. To me it was clear that the Great Pyr was watching her sheep to make sure that they were safe and would not step in unless the sheep were in real danger.

Again, these dogs have a job and they are good at these jobs.
