(11,364 posts)Never been played. The record store I worked for found a carton in their warehouse that had never been returned in the recall and I snapped one up, since they were pricing them reasonably. I paid less than any new LP goes for today
I slit the shrink wrap, put it in a plastic sleeve and it's been there ever since.
Lynyrd Skynyrd has exactly three songs I like; none of them are Sweet Home Alabama or Freebird, but one of them is I Know a Little.
I saw them open for Chicago in (3-17) 1974; my first real concert*, it was billed as "Sunday Afternoon in the Stadium" and that's why I was allowed to go - it was in broad daylight and was over before dark.
. I was 14.
*I'm not counting David Cassidy, nor am I counting the truly horrifying Gospel Groups Concert my grandparents dragged us to about the same time.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
