The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsMy wife is in Nanaimo visiting her mother. I'm on my own vis--vis dinner. Bet you can't guess what I'm making. I have
frozen fries, cheese curds, and leftover onion gravy. 🤗

(1,196 posts)But the best poutine we had was when we took a scenic route from Idaho.
It was a little lodge restaurant on a lake.
It was loaded with mushrooms and cheese curds. Very yummy.

(6,636 posts)I live in Kansas but visited Vancouver Island once years ago. I drove from Victoria to Nanaimo before crossing back to the mainland and then down to Seattle (work trip). It was all very scenic, I had High Tea in Victoria and saw an underwater display from a barge thingy...Butterfly Zoo was cool...Enjoyed the drive with great nature views and totem poles...

(15,006 posts)I take it, when the wife is home, poutine is not routine?
(I actually would have guessed that you would go for a couple of chili dogs, heavy on the onions.)
