My wife is in Nanaimo visiting her mother. I'm on my own vis--vis dinner. Bet you can't guess what I'm making. I have

frozen fries, cheese curds, and leftover onion gravy. 🤗

But the best poutine we had was when we took a scenic route from Idaho.
It was a little lodge restaurant on a lake.
It was loaded with mushrooms and cheese curds. Very yummy.

I live in Kansas but visited Vancouver Island once years ago. I drove from Victoria to Nanaimo before crossing back to the mainland and then down to Seattle (work trip). It was all very scenic, I had High Tea in Victoria and saw an underwater display from a barge thingy...Butterfly Zoo was cool...Enjoyed the drive with great nature views and totem poles...

I take it, when the wife is home, poutine is not routine?

(I actually would have guessed that you would go for a couple of chili dogs, heavy on the onions.)
