(3,137 posts)Nothing too original or scary or different; just two eyes and a smile (I think). I don't really remember. I was more about the trick-or-treating than carving the pumpkin.
That was a long time ago.

(72,516 posts)One year, I carved my pumpkin so early in October that by the time the 31st rolled around, it had started to shrivel, making it look even scarier. So I did it that way every year thereafter until I stopped the yearly carving.
Now I just buy a small pumpkin at the grocery store, and perch it on the step leading to the front door.

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
