1963 Ford Galaxy XL 500
390 Thunder Bird V-8, I know it was a Thunder Bird V-8, because it had Thunder Bird stamp on the valve covers. Bought it for $500. It got around 10-11 mpg, which while not good, wasn't considered too bad at the time. My senior year in high school (1972) premium gas was $0.299 a gallon, full service gas station.
