I usually don't get many, maybe a dozen or more. But of course, I did not buy a lot of candy this year, so I may be overrun by trick-or-treaters.

Three toddlers and three teens. I was delighted to find one of the teens was willing to trade candy so I was able to get my Tootsie Roll fix.

I only got one set of trick or treaters.

I kinda figured that I won't get many passing by, but that was ridiculous.
I even went for quality in regards to chocolates this year. I bought me a bunch of Lindt chocolates, and then Hershey's nuggets just for kicks and giggles.

Now, I have half a pumpkin bucket filled with chocolates that I won't really eat.

Don't know why for sure so many more this year than last. But 2 blocks away is a street that is now getting to be known as a Halloween street, with a walk-through haunted house at one end and a live concert at the other end and many decorated houses. So I guess what we got last night was some spillover from the crowds there.

When something just grows organically, nothing commercialized, just neighbors having fun. I'm just worried now that it is getting so popular that they might start having problems because of the crowds. People come from other neighborhoods to it now.
