13. About 25 years ago, I used Emeril's recipe to make it.

I frenched the (fresh) green beans, made the mushroom soup from scratch, fried onions myself. It took hours, and was maybe 10% better than the normal recipe. Once was enough.

That said, when I do make it (about every 4-5 years) I use fresh green beans, and often add some fresh mushrooms, but canned cream of mushroom soup and fried onions are fine for me.

I’m not really a fan of canned cream of mushroom soup. When I was a kid, an uncle and I used to send a can back and forth to each other as a joke.
