Raccoon breaks into Ashland (Va. ) ABC store, passes out in bathroom

The officer (Officer Martin of Hanover Animal Control) safely secured the intoxicated raccoon and took it to an animal shelter to recover.

After several hours of rest, the raccoon did not show signs of injury and was released back into the wild.



The raccoon had damaged merchandise on multiple shelves before getting into the liquor and taking himself to the restroom.



Officials did not specify how the raccoon got into the store or what alcohol it may have consumed during the break-in.

Looks like it had some vodka, some kind of premixed margaritas, and some airplane sized bottles of frangelico? Amaretto? Maybe cognac or brandy?
Glad it was okay, and could be released back into the wild.
