Im attempting Popovers today. The time I tried Yorkshire Pudding it was a disaster! 🤬

But it's a good idea to follow it and mix it up as directed - then let the mixture sit for about half an hour (while you're heating the oven).
Then whip it up again briefly, portion it into blazing hot cups and get it in the blazing hot oven ASAP.

(11,874 posts)3. I use a dedicated carbon steel popover pan to do yorkshire pudding.
I put the pan in the oven to preheat a little before the prime rib comes out. After I pull the roast to let it rest, I use a baster to add beef fat to the popover cups, then add the batter and bake. You do need to skewer them with a paring knife to let out steam or theyll become gummy.
