1. I bought my sweetie one a couple months ago because she is too old to risk falling off the bed (14 1/2)

She hasn't slept on it once. (I do have an egg crate foam pad on the floor covered with a sheet and a big stuffed dog that she will sleep on--, but I missed snuggling with her, so you can probably guess what happened next*

*Yup, I bought a folding three-section cushion for the floor from Amazon and covered it in a nice set of bamboo sheets. With my feather comforter in the duvet, it is not that bad, really, and with a couple of good pillows under my head and knees, I've managed to learn to sleep on my back, sans my too-soft and too-high mattress... She sleeps just beside me. What we do for our beloved furry babes.

I've bought expensive toys, state-of-the-art this and that, and they always go to crumpled up pieces of foil and boxes. One Christmas, I bought one of those cat drinking fountains with filters and all the doo-dads but my 18-pound behemoth, Otis, was terrified of it. He avoided it like the plague so when I caught him trying to drink out of the toilet, I gave the fountain away to a friend and went back to bowls.

Cats.

Most fun we ever had with the fur babies, a few years ago, we duct taped tons of various sized boxes together and made a sort of kitty castle. Cut little windows in it, tunnels, you name it. They had great fun and even left the tree alone that year! After a few weeks they lost interest and the boxes slowly made their way to the recycle bin.

My cats also do not like the cat fountains, we’ve tried 3 different types, too. Their fav water bowl is a big old coffee cup of mine that is shallow and deep. We have water bowls in 3 different rooms and they seem happy with that arrangement.

loves to lie in her stress-relieving shag donut, which fits perfectly
into a turret on her cat tree...as it happens, we have two small cat
trees together each with a turret almost the same distance from
the floor.

The other day I saw Molly (Mrs JAP's cat) try to fit herself
in the donut with Addy so we just ordered her, her very
own stress-relieving shag donut in a contrasting color.
