(9,610 posts)I don't know if they are trained to do so. I notice that some are seated in the middle of the room by themselves in some of these, too.

(9,610 posts)there are actual events like this being held at shelters. This one had no disclaimer saying it was AI. I checked in the bio first. In the bio it says "This is a real December 2025 adoption event where dogs were allowed to choose their own families.
What happened next left the entire room emotional.
Inside a crowded adoption room, dozens of people sat quietly as dogs walked freely through the aisles.
One by one, the dogs chose their people in the most unexpected ways, sitting, leaning, jumping, and refusing to leave.
These moments werent planned. They werent scripted.
Just real dogs forming real connections with their future families.
Adoption events like this remind us that sometimes, the pet chooses you.
If youre thinking about adopting, consider visiting your local shelter and giving a dog a second chance.

(23,398 posts)him out, (there were several people standing, waiting) and he went straight up to me and put his legs on me to be picked up. I just said, "Hi" and he was my dog.
