"All I Want For Christmas is Heavy Machinery"

At my newspaper we ran a special section full of kids' letters to Santa this week. Most of it is what you'd expect, and since this is still North Idaho you would be correct in expecting more than one kid asked for a gun for Christmas.

And...then we get to this one kid:

"Dear Santa, please bring me a skid steer."

This is what he wants:

I rented one for a day and moved more dirt than i had in the last few years with shovel and wheelbarrow. I had it up on one wheel twice. Have decided to leave it to the experts. People around me all have skidsteers like there a dime a dozen.

it’s my fave tool evah. have a small urban farm that started off w almost no soil, so i had to make my own. made about 20 bomber loads.
