(1,747 posts)Bake a real cake with actual flavors!
They can taste the "love" if you make that an ingredient. Sounds like you will.

(131,036 posts)made a chocolate cake with oatmeal in it for all our birthdays. Both were delicious. I don't have either recipe but you can probably find them online with ratings for how much they were liked. The Oatmeal Chocolate cake was from Nova Scotia. It was my mom's Aunt Frances'.

(26,386 posts)Basically a white cake usually 2 or 3 layers but each with a different colored food dye, and the icing would be yet another color! 😄
So let's say - cake layers - orange, yellow, blue and purple frosting!
Haven't thought of those in decades.
What would it more fun/funny if cooking times compatible one lemon cake layer but colored blue!
Anyway, chocolate, carrot, cocconut, or lemon would be my favorites (with chocolate way ahead of the others). Although chocolate coconut combo sounds yummy; I love the Mounds candy bar.
Have fun what you bake! 🎂 👍

(13,104 posts)Basically yellow cake, cut in half with custard inside and dark chocolate frosting a bit thinner than regular frosting on top.
You can make all of it by scratch.
