I remember the names of everybody who has been significant to me. It's remembering the names of people I've just met that evade me.

Anyway, her name was Linda and I was 8 at the time. First girl I ever kissed -- and of course there's a story to it.
The girl next door dared and double-dared me to kiss Linda, so of course I did (it was many, many years before I learned to turn down a dare). And she slapped me a good one inna chops for it. I went back to the girl who dared me, she asked "what happened?" and I slapped her a good one inna chops. Of course then she ran off crying to Mommy and I got in trouble for hitting a girl.

She had shoulder length, dark brown hair, glasses, and braces. And, she sat next to me in band in the 6th grade.

We had a blissful summer together. Then, about three weeks into the beginning of 7th grade, she dumped me for an "older man". (an 8th grader)

I thought I was in love once before, to a guy named Tim, but it was unrequited. So I don't like to count that.

I had gurlfriends before I met her, but I liked them, not loved then.
So my wife is my first love!
