(2,311 posts)Of course, I liked Mary (who didn't? She turned the world on with her smile), but I liked Rhoda just a little bit more. Then she got her own show and it wasn't as funny but everybody watched it because they liked Rhoda.
debm55
(57,892 posts)didn't like it, Rhoda lost her quirkiness and it was just another bland situation comedy.

(3,214 posts)The main character Sarah Manning's gay foster brother, played by Canadian Jordan Gavaris.
He's FABULOUS in the show.
It's (finally!) on Netflix. I made a post about it (in retrospect, it's pretty long-winded lol) in the Streaming forum. https://www.democraticunderground.com/114322811
I recommend avoiding even reading Netflix's blurb about the show and just hitting play. The more that's a mystery about it going in, the cooler it is.

he often played only a very minor role in a given episode, but he always had at least one really good line
and everyone knows him by just his first name!

Given what a dirtbag Bob Crane, who played the star, Colonel Hogan, was, I am pleased to have Bannister's character as my favourite.
