(22,869 posts)Eat some chocolate if you're allowed. It'll warm your body for a little while.
Stay warm and safe.
Just put a bag over my head and ate a 4 pound box of chocolates.
Ate the chocolates through a mouth hole that I cut into the bag.
Put some zip lock bags on my feet...
Now what?

(22,186 posts)First things first.
I have on T shirt, a long sleeve shirt, a fleece jacket, and a heavy dark blue parka.
But I'm so cold, that my nipples are poking poking through all of that clothing. So much so, that they tore a hole through the parka material and are sticking out through the parka.
Home Depot is just a mile away, so I'm going to go there to see if they have any blue spray paint so I can paint my nipples blue so they will blend in with the parka and not be so embarrassingly noticeable.
I'll pick up some more chocolate while I'm there.

(22,869 posts)If you go to Sally Beauty Supply, maybe you can get nipple paint.

Pricey but I got it through a local energy efficiency program.
It runs on a lithium battery.
Glad I have it, believe me!
Hope you can find a way to stay warm!

(176,794 posts)I was without power for three days during hurricane ike and a day during Berly. I had some law partners who were without power for three weeks following Ike. My oldest also has a generator for his home. I have insulin and some copd drugs in my fridge.
I hope that you get power back soon
