I grew up in a town so small we didn't even have a town drunk...

So all of the rest of the adults just took turns.

Bless his heart, he was mentally challenged, but everyone knew him and loved him. When he heard the firetruck sirens, he would run out on the street and direct them. He unfortunately died of COVID, but there is a wonderful memorial to him on our Main Street. He makes me think of Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird. He will live in our hearts forever.
