5 days eating the BEST Swedish food in Stockholm What's good to eat Ep01, 02, and 03

I’m back in Stockholm and in the next 5 days I’m eating the BEST Swedish dishes I can find. The plan includes a return visit to my favourite Skeppsbro Bakery in Gamla Stan, because while I love all cardamom buns, the terrace view of Stockholm is the real reason I keep coming back.

One of the biggest highlights is finally trying Kalix bleak roe for the first time at Michelin-recommended Lux Dag för Dag. I learned that this roe is an ultimate Swedish delicacy and kind of a big deal around here.

It’s the first video of my food show “What’s Good to Eat”...and it’s something I've wanted to create ever since I spent 10 years working in London restaurants. Turns out…once hospitality gets into your blood, it never leaves. And I’m beyond excited that this show is finally happening.

I filmed a morning shift at the Ritnorno bakery in Stockholm to see what they do with 15 kg of cinnamon dough every morning. Follow for a day in a life of a Swedish baker.

How affordable is Stockholm? To find out, I spent an entire day eating my way through six budget-friendly spots, fully committed to seeing how expensive…or not…it is to eat out here.

And I will include my final bill of the day at the very end of the video.

Some of the highlights include finally trying the iconic prawn sandwich at Östermalms Saluhall, which has been on my must-try list since I started researching Stockholm’s food scene. I also loved diving into the city’s ever-growing Asian food scene, watching Chinese hand-pulled noodles being made at Ox Lan, and eating grilled yakitori sticks at Miyakodori (which immediately transported me back to my Japan trip in 2014).

Just out of the hospital last Saturday… I had a stone removed from my liver and I feel the best I have
in months. I just had some egg on English Muffin, bacon, and Béarnaise sauce (package).

The food looks great! Except for the fish roe.
