I've never needed a drink more than I do right now.

Having a smoky Martini. Gin, single malt Scotch, and a dash of dry vermouth.

Mrs. Aristus is here, so I’m not going to go all-out, full-bore, balls to the wall drunk. But I sure want to.

I don’t know how much longer I can go on with things being this way.

Did a lot of day drinking then. It ended well, even if it was only temporary.

We’re going to need a lot more than community to get through it this time. We need a miracle. And I don’t believe in those.

I haven’t felt this way since the night W announced we were going into Iraq. Because of the Viet Nam experience, I could it see it was wrong and I could see the death, the wounds, and the scars coming, but I couldn’t do anything about it.

This was before Mrs. Aristus renounced conservative Christianity and became a liberal atheist. So she didn’t understand why I was so distraught. But she held me and comforted me anyway.

She hates Trump with the heat of a thousand white-hot suns.

I quit smoking the same day I quit drinking.

I did not have an alcohol addiction, but cigarettes were a different story.

You stay strong too!

I quit drinking anyway because I am not as steady on my feet as I once was. I am 77. Older people often die from falls.

I quit smoking, too. It was just time to do it. I quit cold turkey.

REPUBLICAN- appointed scotus justices abrogated their duties to the Constitution, and anointed bush the lesser as president. Yes, we had Obama and Biden for 12 of those years, but the pukes were, and are, busy destroying everything they hate about this country.

during my last check up 2 months ago. At first I thought he was kidding but he wasn't.

He said this since for almost two years I have lost weight (down to 83 pounds) due to tRump stress and not watching the news or reading DU for 6 months changed nothing. My mind is still active and it knows what is going on. I'm not a moron. I have always had what he calls "industrial strength insomnia" and I told him a year ago that by Xmas 2025 I will have disappeared (from weight loss). I know my mind and body pretty well at 63 and I was correct.

I can drink but the only thing I get these days is a headache so that sucks and is not an option. Fuck tRump!!!!!!!!!!!
