It was the B-side on Jeremy - the first single.

I’m lyrically deaf which is why I became a huge fan of REM. Eddie was too - see his speech introducing them into the Hall of Fame.

I saw something similar but not THAT bad. Mid/late 90’s CBS’s opening sequence for the NCAA Basketball Tournament Championship Game (big deal) was “Better Man”. As lyrically deaf as I am I know that song is about a woman stuck in a relationship, at least she’s being neglected probably abused. Her only way out that she can think of is killing him “she dreams in red”
