I want to believe him when he "predicts" a short winter. I don't want to believe him when it goes the other way.

(114,004 posts)Then again, we ALWAYs are, with major snows not coming for weeks now in more years. Regardless, I always try to warn newcomers not to put out bedding plants until after MEMORIAL DAY! YES. Even if Home Depot and elsewhere are showing blooming plants everywhere, we often get a freezing spell with a major storm mid May or even later. so... (often they learn the hard way)
