Way to go, Seattle Osprey!

Look it up, Osprey are called both sea Hawks, and sea Eagles.

No disrespect to the Sea Eagles name, but I've personally watched Osprey catch dozens of fish from lakes and rivers. Therefore I love the Osprey.

If there is a reincarnation, I want to come back as an Osprey, or as a second choice, a River Otter.

I follow the Chargers and I normally root for the AFC team unless it's the Raiders. This year, I decided the Patriots had dominated the NFL long enough and decided to support the Seahawks. Seattle used to be in the AFC West so it made it easier to support them.

During that last week before ejecting youngsters from the nest, the adults are so desperate for food that they will rob our pond of its koi. They really perfect salt water fish, and often will drop the fish if we yell at them. We return them to the pond, and they are no worse for the wear.

Otoh, we have had river otters come into our pond and they are absolutely destructive. They will come in and kill more than 2 dozen salmon size fish by taking a bite out of the belly, then leaving it to die. More than 2 dozen times in less than an hour. I have no admiration for them. It's killing for amusement and not for food.

Edit to add:
We love our Seahawks!
