9. It really is amazing the companionship some cats and dogs have.

I've had/have cats and would never think to bring a dog into the mix. Probably won't now at this stage in my life, But it is so wonderful to see them develop such strong bonds.

10. I've always had both

Never had any problems with them not getting along. Watching them play together was a blast.

I do remember one time when one of our golden retrievers got our big gray cat pissed once. He chased that dog in a circle for a good 15 minutes before the dog gave up and faced his punishment. Of course Dinky the cat just swatted him and walked away. Funniest thing I ever saw. My daughter and I just laughed and laughed. ( this was outside so it was a pretty big circle they were running)
