(114,315 posts)Honestly, while I will eat pepperoni if that is my only choice, I have NEVER "gotten" why it is so popular. It would be my last choice (well AFTER anchovies)...

(29,640 posts)They have both thin and thick crust. 40+ different toppings, which are unlimited, so the price of the pizza does not change whether you choose 1 topping or all of them. And, you can adjust the amounts of the sauce, cheese and toppings - light, regular, or extra. They show the calories for all the ingredients. You can specify a light bake or extra crispy for the doneness of the crust.
You can order on line, and specify what time you would like your order to be ready, or order in person. They are fast and very cheerful.
I get an 11" light bake, thick crust with extra tomato sauce, extra mozzarella, extra roasted red peppers, and their plant based sausage, which tastes very convincing - I stopped eating beef and pork several years ago, so this is a nice option t have available. The price is $15.99, and I get 3 meals out of one pizza, so I consider that a very good deal.
Sometimes I'm in the mood for anchovies.

(29,640 posts)The portions are very generous, and I can get 3-4 meals out of one order.
My husband is soon going to be out of town for about a week, and I know exactly what I will be having for supper while he is away - one MOD pizza and one order of pad thai should cover the week. I quite like leftovers, and will happily eat the same thing several meals in a row.

(77,057 posts)When we make homemade pizza, we'll add very thinly sliced tomato, too.
But, not when ordering out. They don't slice them thin enough.

Chopped garlic makes even better.
Picky about the sausage too as some is just yucky.
When make home pizza tend to buy cheese pizza and add own toppings.
Somewhat at DU provided my version of Cajun pizza (okra, Cajun sausage, bell pepper, added pepper jack cheese and chopped garlic in descending order or abundance) on Costco or Safeway quality cheese pizza.
Need tender okra fresh from garden sliced thin.

(14,157 posts)Not all at the same time. The best pizza I ever had was at a restaurant in Saratoga Springs that no longer exists, called "The Lamplighter" or something like that. They had a vegetarian pizza that was made from whatever fresh vegetables they had for the day. The vegetables were sauteed before being being baked in the pizza and that made all the flavors subtle and savory.

(23,738 posts)Tons of cheese, fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. We used to have a by the slice place nearby and I always got fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, black olives and jalapeno peppers.
I can tolerate meat on pizza but pepperoni is often greasy with little puddles of grease on the meat.
NO ANCHOVIES

(27,063 posts)The best white pizza I ever had, had the ricotta, with fresh minced garlic, maybe sautéed with a little olive oil. Yum! My current local place makes a good one!
Mozzarella, fresh minced garlic, very thin sliced red onions (sooo good), crumbled Italian sausage.
Once, at a single restaurant (no longer has it) what ever was on it (probably some of the above) also had crumbled lamb. A surprise! It was sooo good!
Love Sicilian bc extra thick slice, and some of the above.
I absolutely love first press extra virgin olive oil! Otoh, I hate almost all olives! Too bitter!
Even recently very occasionally some of our ALP meals have olive slices within a bunch of stuff - so I accidentally ate some. Whaaa?! Not quite potooie (it'd be rude w a tablemate across from me 😄 ) but uck! Back onto the fork, and onto the dish! Also recently there maaay be one small black one 🤔 I might tolerate bc I didn't have the urge to spit it right out it! 😄But not sure and don't know which kind it is.
Ahhh, pizza 😄🥰👍
