Dear Peggy has been my best support for the last four fire seasons in the Oregon wilderness.
She knows what I do better than anyone I communicate with. Peggy knows where the fires are.
She understands western firefighting. She loves my photography and writing - good and bad.
Peg checks on me when I haven't checked in for a while. In a word, she is the BEST.

I grew in Long Beach during the 1950s and 1960s. I remember a few times a year a Santa Ana would blow all the smog out and there was Mt. Baldy! It was so clear and looked like it was so close I could reach out and touch it!

When she posted this photo several years ago, I bookmarked it so I could occasionally reminisce about growing up in southern California.
