I had my 2nd appointment with my new cardiologist this morning. She is young, sharp as a tack. and explained everything that a dummy like me could understand. She is so popular that her appointments are cut back to 20 minutes, but that didn't stop me. I'm the parent in the TV ad that you don't want your kids to grow up like, I proudly snuck in 40 minutes. My daughter is just sitting back in the corner laughing.
So I go to schedule my next appointment and the nice lady says, how about March 19th? I say great, March 19th, 2027, she says no, March 19th 2028.
There are drawbacks to going to the best doctors.

(32,329 posts)but my mechanics are the best. I messed around with A-Fib for 9 years until I found a surgeon who wrote the book on ablations. Knock on wood, my ablation was 6 years ago and I have stayed in rhythm. My BP today was 110/70. I have a tiny dribble of blood that slides down my ventricle when it pumps blood, or something like that. Cardiologist says no biggie, but she scheduled me for an ECHO this June just to keep an eye on it. I suggested a check valve that made my daughter laugh.
I am serious about anyone struggling with A-fib, PM me and I will PM back the best ablation surgeon on the planet, out of UPMC Pittsburgh.
