(18,354 posts)Speaking of "Dracula", Dwight Frye, who played Renfield in the 1931 Bela Lugosi film also played Wilmer the gunsel in the '31 "Maltese Falcon."

Nick Memphis: How come?
Mr. Rate: Whoever took that shot's probably dead now. That's how conspiracy works. Them boys on the grassy knoll, they were dead within three hours. Buried in the damn desert. Unmarked graves out past Terlingua.
Nick Memphis: And you know this for a fact?
Mr. Rate: Still got the shovel!

Regarding Clarence White, Gene Parsons (not related to Gram) still lives in Caspar CA Mendocino County. Gene runs a small lodge in Caspar. It's said that he is sometimes seen in his workshop where he invented the B-Bender along with Clarence.

(889 posts)Rick: Its December 1941 in Casablanca. What time is it in New York?
Sam: Oh, I dont know boss.
Rick: I bet they are asleep in New York. I bet they are asleep all over America.
So, if its December 1941 and they are still asleep in America, Casablanca takes place between December 1-6, 1941.
VGNonly
(8,629 posts)There is no mention of Pearl Harbor in the film.
America was asleep, the calm before the storm. The US was still playing the isolation card while the much of the world was dealing with real and absolute terror of war.
