It's the Vehicle from- Well, the Same Place Gas Prices Have Gone to- There's a Devilish Drive-By from "The Car"- Tonight!

Tonight on MeTV- buckle up for a ride with a violent vehicle that gives citizens of a small desert town a hellish hit-and-run -its the deadly and devilish driverless destruction of- "The Car"!
Lets reminisce - 1977, "roadkill" movies seemed to be in vogue, with "Christine" and "Maximum Overdrive" in theatres- and they were joined by this film (which opens with a quote from the late leader of "the Church of Satan"!? ) which starts out serenely enough with two bicyclists cruising through a canyon-when a mysterious black car seems to decide that the road isnt big enough for all of them! Soon after, a French horn-playing hitchhiker finds out he cant compete with the strange cars horn- in the worst way!

Maximum Overdrive was released in 1986 and Christine in 1983. Both long after 1977. Really pathetic job by MeTV getting basic facts spectacularly wrong.

That's the one where he'd hit another car head on, and his atomized car would suck back together, and leave whole, but the other one wouldn't.
