We were. I was the 6th out of 12 I think to get out of the room. I really don’t know how 8-12 kept it together waiting to get out.

4. The gas mask leaked a tiny bit and I could tell there was gas. Well, this isn't too bad.

Then, we took off the gas masks........... WHAMMO!!!

That was actually the second time I’d been gassed. The first was at Va. Tech. Some ROTC guy (we heard) got kicking out of the racing party across the landing. About 8-10 of us (guys and girls) were leaving one of their apartments. We open the door and WHAM!! We shut the door and ran to any water we could find - sinks, bathtub, and 2 guys scooping out of the toilet.

There was a guy I didn’t know who’d previously passed out in the couch by the front door. Never woke up. Slept through it.
