I have posted about this before but have an update

Late at night, when I can't sleep, I flip through the channels on the TV and end up on one of the shopping channels. I see something that makes me say "I need that" and I get on my laptop and order it. A week or so later, a package comes to the door and I open it and say to myself, what the hell is this?

But I really love that butter dish I couldn't live without at 2:00 a.m.

P.S. I recently read online that QVC is going to file for bankruptcy.

Edited to add: QVC has filed for chapter 11.

When I was taking Ambien I would order items I saw on late-night infomercials and then have no memory of having ordered them. One day, I received not one, but two, electric hair straighteners.

I don’t remember what it was, but I do remember taking it off Hold and putting it onto my credit card a few days later.

portable camping grills that utilized rolled newspapers for fuel. He generously thought his kids and a couple of friends wouldn't be able to live without them either and would thank him profusely. In the time it took for them to arrive, he rolled his daily newspapers in anticipation, only to find that his thick, expensive steak tasted exactly like newsprint...GAH!

Full disclosure: He had rolled "other" papers before settling down in front of the TV on the night he ordered.

I cannot even consider doing something like that.
