I would think that human hair would be nice. My hair is soft and thick so I'd donate it from my hairbrush to the birds! CTyankee Yesterday #4

It was really quite a project and she put little pieces of leaves on the outside the camouflage. If you didn’t know it was there you wouldn’t be able to see it.

I just happened to find a tiny nest in my Burberry bush. Birds love to nest in that bush.

if it's available. It sounds gross, but when I clean my hair brush (and I have long hair) I toss the "hairball" into the open dumpster outside so birds can use it.

I also put out yarn bits and leave longe cut grass on one side of the house where my compost bin is. When I had my dog I'd brush him outside and leave his hair.

The dad, Hal, was really hair, and his wife, Lois, would take him outside to do some "manscaping" with clippers. Malcom was sitting, talking to the camera and a fluff of Hal's body hair landed by him. Before he could say "Eeeew", a bird swooped down and picked it.

Birds also use their poop as cement to hold their nests together.
