(20,277 posts)Way, way better. I still can't believe LL as ........
Elizabeth Taylor's name should never be spoken in the same sentence as Lohan's. Ever.

(72,790 posts)No real reason. Just don't watch too much TV. Probably will be at work or at the bar when it's on. Don't even know when it's supposed to air or what channel.

(95,337 posts)The thing about a great biopic is when the actor playing that person literally becomes that person. Some of the best examples of great biopics acting jobs include Jim Carrey as Andy Kauffman, Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles and Reese Witherspoon as June Carter Cash. I remember watching those movies and forgetting who the actor was and really appreciating the person they were playing. I suspect we'll get plenty of the same when Daniel Day-Lewis plays Abraham Lincoln.
I saw that preview and it just looked like Lindsay Lohan playing some drunk version of Lindsay Lohan with too much plastic surgery and a bad black hair dye job. My memories of Elizabeth Taylor was that she was someone who, although I suspect there was some plastic surgery, pretty much aged gracefully and quite beautifully. And she starred opposite of Cooter from "True Blood" (who was also in the first Atlas Shrugged movie).
Then again I remember this is on Lifetime and I think they are hoping that making a film with a train wreck will get them some ratings. I've seen the previews so I'm think I'm good!

(28,942 posts)Yeah, Taylor deserves much, much better. She may have gone off the rails once in awhile, but she never let her life become a train wreck or a joke.

(2,682 posts)and, no, I won't be watching. I agree with the poster who said that Lohan and Taylor shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.

(12,723 posts)I would imagine both the acting and the writing of the sketch to be entirely superior to this current effort. Forget about Elisabeth Taylor, how the hell does any young actor think he has what it takes to imitate Richard Burton?
