Grilled rye bread with Swiss and well-drained sauerkraut, served with homemade Russian dressing. First time I made them. They came out great.

) but I would NEVER forget sauerkraut on a reuben!

... that I went to. I expected to really MISS the turkey, but this group of friends
consisted of some serious vegetarian (except for me) foodies.

It was AMAZING!!! I didn't even THINK about turkey during that meal. If I could
afford to pay someone to cook like that for me alla time, I would gladly -- even
eagerly -- become a vegetarian.

But a Reuben without corned beef (or at LEAST pastrami) just makes me sad.

BTW, even though it's canned, Libby's markets an incredible sauerkraut flavored
with caraway seeds. Now, other sauerkrauts pale in comparison.
