Pick my soundtrack for a Friday evening bike ride.

I'm planning on about a 20 mile ride tonight -cold, crystal clear skies, and nothing but miles of smooth pavement ahead.

Help me pick tonight's soundtrack for the stereo (yes, I have a Bluetooth wireless stereo mini-speaker on the bike, and just picked up a Garmin GPS).

TIA!

...I'd go with instrumental. Lots of options, depending on your tastes. I personally love classical, would fit the mood and the evening nicely. Or, something more ethereal.

Sounds like a good time, no matter what!

They're incredible & have enough stuff out there dating back 10 years to keep you company on much longer than a 20 mile ride.

"Foxtrot" isn't bad for that, but it isn't as invigorating.

I remember Debbie Gibson and some other talentless woman (forget her name). I think "classics" sort of skipped the 80's, and without progressive rock, the same would be true of the '70's. Seriously, Disco? That's all anyone remembers of the 70's. Mostly because that's what was on the radio.

The albums "Addicted" and "Epicloud" by the Devin Townsend Project will get you pumped up pretty good. Here's "Supercrush!" Another DUer got me hooked on this band with this video.

(About the car, that is)

I think it's insane to listen to music on headphones while bicycling in traffic. Maybe get a portable radio which has a mounting bracket for handlebars, so you can listen to music and also be aware of traffic.

The headphones are WAY too fucking risky.

Mounted Bluetooth speaker on frame.

No real traffic hazard either, we have about 150 miles of paved bike trails in my town. The perks of living in the Bloomfields.

So, a coin flip it was.

I'll be spending the evening with Bono and the rest of the boys from Dublin.
