(60,161 posts)Where did you get him?
I really like the dark Goldens, both of mine have been that color. Tho the current one's face is blonding out at age 7.
Columbus Junction- My brother in law used to breed them up in MN but has stopped so we looked elsewhere. We had a white golden with all kinds of thyroid problems but which lived to be 15+ years old. The red one got cancer at age 8 so.... Otis's mother was irish setter red and the father was his colour now as an adult dog. Otis is 7 months and has always looked like and adult dog after he lost his puppy fur. All our other dogs have gone through the long lanky teenager phaze but not this one. Good dog so far except for the tree eating part.

(60,161 posts)partly because he is the only dog I have had to share with another adult...one who is NOT as firm as I am about "the rules".
I am hoping I have enough energy to have another golden down the road. Life is so empty without them around.
I hope the big goof settles before then
