During the next seven years of The Faith Tones’ heyday, Marie worked at a minimum-wage night-job supervising children with Down syndrome while working toward her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Music Composition at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I didn't know he made an album. He had lived in a broken down trailer, never had any money or education. He made a few dollars here and there singing in bars. He had a great voice...a loud booming voice, could hit any note, could play the guitar very well. Really nice guy. Never had a girlfriend, and I always wondered why. The money thing, maybe. But he was attractive in a sexy, earthy way, tho not handsome.

Yes, I'm from Louisiana. I remember him pretty well, altho I listened to the song on Youtube, and his voice doesn't sound as good there as I remember it. Maybe memories are like that. Then again, his voice didn't sound booming on the video, and his voice really was very loud in person.

He was a nice guy. Glad to hear he got married. He never had a girlfriend at an age when we all had girlfriends and boyfriends. In fact, I think it was my boyfriend who knew him, rather than a direct connection with me.

So freaky to run across this! And really freaky that I would recognize him!

(BTW, a comment in Youtube said the girl on the cover is his real life niece.)
