Last night got me thinking about Bruce... and the fact that I've been a big fan for almost 40 years.

Back in 1973, when his first album, "Greetings from Asbury Park" was released, he made the
cover of Time Magazine and was heralded as "the next Dylan". I'll raise some eyebrows here
when I say that I like his lyrics as poetry much more than much of, maybe most of Dylan's...
certainly more accessible anyways -- and I'm all about writing poetry for the people,
.
Below is a rarely-heard gem that is still one of my all-time favorites of his -- boy, if ANYONE
can tell a story in a song, it's The Boss.
.
"Mary, Queen of Arkansas"
.
Check out how the song goes full-circle and comes to a definite and logical resolution.
.
"I've got contacts down in Mexico...
Where the servants have been seen."
.
39 years ago -- check our how YOUNG he is (and how young many of US were).
.
And it reinforces what I felt last night -- I REALLY felt the absence of Clarence.
