1. Got water, back-up heat, flashlights, and anything else you might need? We lost power,

heat, and water for 10 days during the ice storm of '98. Was 8 mos preggers and had Influenza to boot. What a miserable time that was.

Snuggle in with a good book and some hot cocoa!

4. Here in western Pennsylvania...........

it's still raining, been doing that all day. Winds are up to about 25-35 mph. They're calling for 4-6". So not too bad. We have plenty of water & food (Christmas food is here, expecting 17 t0 20 people over). We should be okay.

6. Just got my generator back from the shop.

Recently bought it used for $100 and spent $75 to get it in top shape. I don't have it set up yet to plug into the house wiring but I could run extension cords to do what I need.

11. I'll never again complain about our famous Seattle rain

which it is doing right now. We had a sprinkling of snow yesterday but it was melted by mid-afternoon. I just can't imagine ice storms and snow measured in double digit inches. Consider yourself hugged, Applegrove! And good luck to all of you in the storm's path.
