The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsOnce more, my dear friends.......Vibes for tomorrow's surgery, if you will!
I am cleared for takeoff...er, surgery, tomorrow.
Today I got my shattered teeth removed and temporary caps applied. Whew, thank goodness that's over! It's not painful, just tedious. My dentist is a very good man, and he takes excellent care of me!
Anyway, my surgeon knows all this, and it's cool.
My right shoulder hurts like hell, and it's time for it to be replaced. I am more than ready!
I know there will be anesthesia weirdness, and post-op weirdness, but that will pass, and I will heal...
Thank you all for standing by me...

One thing I made sure I did -- I made sure I got the surgical team to SWEAR that I wasn't
going to show up on YouTube the next day flapping like a chicken with 400,000 hits.
.
Not unless they, as a group, took me out for dinner and a movie first.
.
.
Take it slow, take your pain meds and take your rehab instructions seriously.
