The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThings that make you go: "Hmm". I've noticed that my threads where I'm "drinking" with William
Shakespeare get more responses than William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day.
So I have a confession to make: I don't really know William Shakespeare.
Nope. I've been faking it this whole time. William Shakespeare died in 1616 at his home in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England. My deepest apologies to anyone who thought he was still alive and going strong at the age of 449, and wanted to talk with Will and have their questions answered by The Bard himself.
I plan on continuing WSTFTD, and also my "drinking with Will; ask us anything" threads. But I wanted to come clean, and make a full disclosure before doing so.
Thank you.
I love you all...
So does Will...

(6,581 posts)I think we all kind of knew that you were "channeling" Will.
However, you make it seem like he is right there with you in the moment, and by extension here with us.
Along with MFM posts, Ellen and CA Peggy spreading their kindness, Ohiosmith being himself, etc, your Will posts are an absolute highlight of the lounge.
Tell Will we regret his untimely passing 397 years ago, but we look forward to spending many more good times with Will, and you.

Which is a dick thing to say, frankly...

(58,645 posts)I thought that if the Bard was still alive, he must have gotten one of those Sorceror's stones things, which would mean that Harry Potter was a real boy wizard.
Shit, now my whole reality is ruined.
Thanks, A-hole.
