you can't live without it?
Right now I'm listening to Led Zeppelin.
Robert Plant is singing about squeezing his lemon Yowza
I never get tired of the greatest Rock Band that ever lived and that's saying something from a Beatles devotee.

One of the happiest guitar solos in rock coming in right at 1:50

(12,132 posts)right after all the trippy theremin stuff, is my ringtone for when my wife calls.
The heartbreaker solo is for everyone else.
Except work - when work calls it's the Empire theme from star wars...

(3,657 posts)I love that part too, though I don't know what the 2nd one means

(12,132 posts)lol, sorry - My ringtone for my wife is the guitar solo from Whole Lotta Love.

My ringtone for when work calls is the Imperial March from Star Wars

(5,351 posts)There's a lot of great stuff out there, from its very beginnings all the way up to today. There's something about it that just gives me joy.
Edited for clarity.

Used to be such a nice area. Town had about 2 to 3 thousand people living there... Today there is over 30 thousand people, an extra zip code, and crime. Now when I say crime, when I lived there there was not one murder, not one rape, and maybe at most 3 or 4 assaults a year. Now they have at least one murder a year, 1 or 2 rapes every other year or so, and about 20 assaults each year. If you are looking at it as far as rate, it's not so bad, but we had zero and anything more than that is too much.
They were hit hard by the ression, at times unemployment was over 12%.
It made me quite sad when I went to visit my old house. The neighborhood is totally falling apart.
But, at the time, it was a little quiet slice of heaven. We lived in a house tucked into a corner of the neighborhood, pleanty of woods and swamp land (no alligators that far north) for a kid to play around in. You could go hours and not one car would drive by.
The smell of the pines in the fall... mmm.
