Holy fuck! If you're asking me for help with Internet Explorer, please be USING Internet Explorer!

Or at the very least, be able to tell me what fucking program you're using.

Maybe, just MAYBE, then I can help you find the "Tools" button.

I remember once I had a number of users call saying they couldn't open a document on their staff wiki page. I asked if they were using Firefox, which they were, and I could open it from my computer, I went down and I could open it fine on their computer too. I chalked it up to a network hiccup or something. Over the next few days I got several more of these calls all with the same result. I finally had somebody sit down and show me exactly what they were doing. It turns out, they were using IE which apparently couldn't open .docx files in the version of IE installed. Other than the obvious Microsoft screw up, I had to bite my tongue that several people in the department couldn't understand the difference between Firefox and IE.

but I did once help a person set up a WinXP connection sharing so that I could remote in and fix their laptop. I'm not certain I will ever get over that experience.

Oh, and how can I get my slide-out cupholder fixed? It says "52x" on it, if that helps any.

asking for IT to come put together a shelf unit that this person had purchased for their office. They figured it should be IT instead of the Maintenance/facilities department because they were going to put their printer on it. :-|

Internet Exploder.

But I hear you. Good grief, I tried to walk my Aunt through a damn purchase on Amazon. I think I shredded a bunch of napkins, cried like a baby, and ran a mile in exhilaration when she was off the fucking phone.
