Captain Hindsight says I should have waited until it warmed up before shaving.

(9,230 posts)I did see some early studies that suggested with increased sexual stimulation, the beard can grow faster!
So that can keep our OP warm!

(49,445 posts)I saw -34°F once, in South Dakota. I walked outside and could HEAR my coat stiffening up!
We don't cheat when it comes to cold like the those southern Canadians.

(1,267 posts)It was 32 degrees here (north east Florida) when I woke up this morning -- I seriously debated calling in / taking a sick day, 'cause crawling out of my nice, warm bed & into a shower seemed like cruel & unusual punishment. Alas, I am too much of a Do-bee (damn Romper Room & their brain washing of me when I was 5!), and shivered my way into the office.......only to find that myself & one other person were the only people who made it in out of our 7 person team.

... it used to take me hours to trim my beard (to my satisfaction) with scissors and razor.
.
It was a dreaded chore and I would allow the beard to grow quite long.
.
Friends thought it strange that I always seemed to trim it in the dead of winter (in places
like Michigan and Pennsylvania).
.
What would happen is that I would be looking down and zip my beard up into the zipper
of my winter jacket.
.

.
Could be worse (thinking genitallically as I so often do).

Hmmmm... probably not much of a market for battery-powered penis-trimmers.
