(12,132 posts)And I'm happy about that.
I bring my coffee from home - I see the guys out in the common area complaining about the company coffee and I want none of that. Who's gonna clean it up? Who's gonna make it? How strong? We want civet coffee from some monkey butt!
Nope. Not for me.

(18,783 posts)I had a number of friends in an organization to which I belonged. One, named George, was a Philly detective. Several of us were at a local diner for lunch and were discussing TV. When the topic of cop shows came up, someone asked George which one was most like his actual experiences. He said Barney Miller and that they really had detectives similar to Dietrich, Harris and Fish.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
