I'll start.
In my youth I was told I looked a lot like Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid). After seeing him on Dancing With the Stars recently, I still do.

(6,996 posts)Foster Brooks was a bearded comedian quite a few years ago who did a "drunk" routine. I met some people who golfed with him and they said it was doppelganger time when they saw me.

(21,925 posts)and then in my 20s when I was playing jazz guitar my musician friends told me I looked like Chick Corea. Since Glenn Ford and Chick Corea look nothing alike, I wonder if people were just goofing on me. One of my cousins was told he looked like Steve McQueen or his character Josh Randall (which was impossible since he had dark curly hair and a dark brown olive complexion) and another cousin from a different aunt also was very dark and was told he looked like David Carradine of Kung Fu. In the 80s, I worked for a boss and everyone goofed on him telling him he looked like Clint Eastwood (he looked like a milquetoast) and no one ever told him of the joke (we would even whistle the theme from The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly when he would pull up in his car in the morning).

(21,020 posts)From the age of 15 to about 25 or so, people said I looked like either Bridgette Bardot or Elke Sommer (when my hair was lighter). I think I looked more like Michelle Phillips (Mamas and Papas).
Then in my 30s it was Sally Field (dark hair)
Then people said I looked like Geena Davis. And in my 40s it was that actress with the blonde hair on "Third Rock From the Sun".
Now (at 60) I'm pretty sure I look like Rosie O'Donnell with longer (waist length) hair.
I guess I just have one of those mutating faces

I've had kids yell out "Simon" in a restaurant just to see if I would turn around.
Usually happens when my hair is short but I've been letting it grow out lately (and it's turning gray) so it hasn't happened as much recently.

(2,689 posts)For years people have made comments about it. I've taken to calling it "Willied", as in I got Willied today. Sometimes I'll start quietly singing 'On the Road Again' just to play along. My BIL and SIL saw Willie in Tuscon and both commented on it.

I have a photo of my mom from when she was about 19 (in 1953) where she looks like a Caucasian version of Rosa Parks.
My dad...I have a photo of him in his Army dress uniform (1944, maybe) where he looks like he could be Elvis Presley's twin brother.

(8,646 posts)my friends said I looked an awful lot like Soleil Moon Frye aka Punky Brewster. In fact, they are the ones who encouraged me to watch the show. "omg, you look so much like her you HAVE to see the show!!" Well, whaddya know, I DID look like her. After that I was obsessed for a few years, LOL. Drove my parents nuts trying to wear Punky Brewster clothing and pigtails every day...
Now I don't look like her at ALLL. I'd have to lose about 130lbs first.
Callmecrazy
(3,066 posts)I'm about 25 pounds heavier than my look alike. (Karate Kid).
